Yes gone, I thought it was sig worthy. Also it's usually those in the know are the ones who read what you post.

Mexi, Put in in ur au (make one if you dont have one already, they're powerful tools) and get crits, this forum is for posting completed battle pieces that are WORTH POSTING. If you post something awful in here your just going to get flamed to hell, not constructive crits. Mindgem warned you, you thanked him and now your posting here and then trying to defend your work. When will you learn.

An Joanna I'm going to tell you to stop posting in this forum. Go learn first, battle later.

the thing is, that on this forum there are 2983982983698762986329863298623 threads for crits and amateur stuff. The battle thread is a major league event. I wouldn't want to watch a year 8 schoolboy playing in the world cup(maybe a school girl....dirty old man style). But really, why would anyone want to see beginners in a showcase of talent? It's not bad to lack experience ias long as you are tryin to gain some. It's bad to place that lack of experience in the wrong circles. Consider for once that the battle thread is actually on the front page of graffiticreator. Do you really believe that having a link to shitty work on the front page of one's site is an attractive thing?

Oh yeah, and contrary to Taok's skewed opinion, I kinda like that Senate piece. There is potential there. Some of you cats need to stop thinking anything with arrows is shit. To deny arrows is to deny all of wildstyle tradition. If done proper (and senate's are ok IMO) they are great things.

Just wondering, how is my opinion skewed?

I have never ONCE said all arrows are bad. If you can find ONE place where I did, then throw this all in my face, but I promise you, you won't. The placement of them is OK, I agree, but the problem is they just "appear" with no connection point. IMO it really hurts them and makes the whole piece look a lot worse.

Also, I see no way you can disagree with the rest of what I said. If you please tell me HOW the 3D is correct, or what that squiggle above the T is (I hope it isn't the L) then please do so. But I don't see it happening.

As I said, it's looks alright, It's better than a lot of what we see in here. I just see some glaring flaws, and like any critic of art, pointed out said flaws. It's what I'd expect anyone to do to my work.

No beef intended, at all. I just thinking your lumping me in with the wrong crowd, and it's a crowd I'd rather not be lumped in with.

skewed maybe not the best word. but you and kringe both are the same when it comes to the arrows thing. The minute you cats see arrows its a **** panic. The arrows in that piece are fine if they were drawn more tightly. Since when does anything have to come from anywhere? They are arrows for christ's sake. letters werent born with arrows last ii looked so if you are adding something extra, why not add it however? As long as it fits the flow of the body as a whole, decorations are decorations. Dude's letters have very good potential if developed. Just seems like you and Kringe(and yes the two of you definitely should be lumped together) have this instant trigger when it comes to arrows.

and yeah, the 3d is definitely **** up

No, I don't. Neither does Kringe actually, from what I can tell.

Oh and, well, seeing as your old, you listen to The Beatles hate hip-hop and enjoy politics. So does MG, Dust and Dookie.

See how easy it is too baselessly generalize people?

As I said, find ONE place where I didn't have a reason to dislike the person's arrows, and I'll concede the point. But until you can PROVE to me that I fit this fake "me: you have in your mind, please, I would ask you to stop calling this other person I don't know "Taok" or "you" when talking to me.

As for the decorations, did you even read what I said? Or just skim it and try and pick-out something to make you seem like you're all knowing (after all, it fits your massive ego (isn't generalizing people for no reason fun?)). What I said was, that because they come from nowhere it IMO (notice how that means in my "OPINION") makes the piece look worse. That being the problem with them. Not the fact that they do come out of nowhere. Though, I will admit, IMO, generally arrows that just "appear" do tend to look bad.

I have read the rules and my first post was the sketch for the battle contest, the second one is a rework of the sketch, Not submitted, but just to show the other people that a sketch can look better, after I have now understood the level of the criticism that I was getting regarding the shading, arrows, blocks.....etc. Proving that I am interested in the feed back and can re work the idea after getting some feedback on the way others see my first submission. The reworked version is a little cleaned up as the things that other members mentioned about my piece where not clear to me, as I normally write Senate, and not Castle........

Thanks to the people that did like my work....

Good lord. can't you do any better than that. I am older than dirt for sure. And hiphop was good when it was real. Real hiphop is dead. But then, you just being a kid wouldn't even know the difference. And i am not about to waste my time digging through your posts. But if you look and actually count them, my point will be proven. And this ego of mine you refer to is simply confidence in the knowledge that you have yet to possess. On the matter of politics, I'll be dead by the time any of todays politics have a real effect. Being aware of the workings in the world would benefit you more than me.
